The Ever Present Ministry of the Holy Ghost

As much as the death of Jesus Christ is very vital for us, His resurrection brings to us His victory. In the believing of His death and resurrection, we participate in His victory.

Why did Jesus really come? The obvious answer is to die for sins, and yes, He came to seek and save those who are lost. However, that isn’t the most important thing Jesus came to do. Our sin was in the way of His mission. I believe the most important thing Jesus came to do is to live inside of us.

And because you [really] are [His] sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba! Father!” Galatians 4:6 AMP

The proof of sonship is that the Spirit of God resides in you. This is the most significant fact of Christianity. Christ in us, the hope of glory. This is where we find our identity, our essence. Scriptures says we carry treasure in our earthen vessels.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 2 Corinthians 4:7 NKJV
The vision of God has largely been accomplished – man now carries God’s essence, His Spirit inside of himself. God now tabernacles with man. God now tabernacles with you.

God is in you through the person of the Holy Ghost. He is an ever present personality in your affairs. His ministry is simple, Jesus told us that He is coming to help us. I want you to think of how helpful Jesus was to his disciples. There was a time when they were on the sea, and the waters raged. Jesus got up and helped them. There was another time when they accused Peter and Jesus of not paying tax and Jesus told Peter how to get the money. Jesus was an ever present help when He was on the earth. Jesus taught his disciples, how to live, how to pray, how to please the Father.

The Holy Ghost has come to do just that. He is Jesus in you, teaching you, helping you and comforting you. He is the Standby, that when you are without strength, His strength is available.

You must be conscious of His ministry to you. You must realize that His work in you is as impactful as your recognition of it. Give Him your attention and you would see great change in your everyday life.
