In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
In the New Testament, we see God introduced as the Word. With our human or natural capabilities, we cannot fathom how the Word was in the beginning. He was there with God in the beginning (Genesis 1:1) and is also God. Who is this Word?
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 NIV
The Word became flesh, He is the Son of God, Jesus Christ. This God, whom we introduced here and here, the Lord, the Almighty, the self-existent one, comes in the form of a man, becomes flesh and becomes one of us just to save us.
When He came, He did and said things only God could do and say. He said things that only God had said in the past. One major reason why He was killed was because of the things He said.
- I and My Father are one. John 10:30-38
The Jews picked up stones to stone Him, they explained why they were stoning Him, and they accused Him of equating Himself with God. How can a mere man be God? The Jews were fully aware of what Jesus was saying. - Before Abraham was I AM. John 8:58
When Moses asked God, “Who will I say sent me?”. God replied with: “Tell them I AM sent you”. Jesus Christ comes into our world over 4,000 years later and uses the same phrase. The I AM in the time of Moses walked in the streets of Jerusalem. The Creator of the world humbled Himself and used the things that Man (His Creation) created. He lived in houses made by man, He ate foods made by man, He wore clothes made by man. - The Father has life in Himself, I have life in Myself. John 5:26
In Jesus is life, and everyone who receives Jesus comes into this life. - All Judgement is committed to me. John 5:22
We have a God, who became His creation, to save His creation from death, sin and the devil in the world. This God now lives in as many who believe and receive Him in their lives.
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. John 14:23
If you do not know Jesus and you want to receive Him, you can do it right now. Remember He is God, He knows where you are right now: Say these words and mean them:
“Dear Father, thank You for loving me so much that You came to the world to die for me.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for giving Your life on the cross for my sins. I confess that You died for me and You rose again. I confess that You are alive forevermore and Your kingdom will never end.
From today, I am your child, You are my Father.
Dear Holy Spirit, come into my heart, change my desires, change my life, In Jesus precious name. Amen”
Congratulations, you are now God’s child.
